TUCSON BONSAI SOCIETY

The Tucson club was founded in 1972 by David Meyer with assistance from the Phoenix club.  David was chairman of the American Bonsai Society 1981 Symposium in Boulder, CO, and of the ABS 1999 Symposium in Tucson.  Except for that year, the club has had an annual show and sale in the Spring.
The Tucson Bonsai Society meets at 1 p.m. on the third Sunday of every month except December at the Tucson Botanical Gardens' Porter Gardens facility, 2150 North Alvernon Way.  Active dues are $30 for one ($15 for #2), Corresponding dues are $20 for one ($10 for #2).
With his wife Judy, David operates the Bonsai Center & Gift Gallery, "a little shop of little trees."  Indoor/exotic bonsai are their specialty.  See www.bonsaitucson.com .
