Most Heavily Visited Weeks
Note: As the weekly data must be manually retrieved on a regular basis -- we didn't
begin retrieving until late Sept. 1999 --
and a small number of incomplete weeks on LinkExchange's part have been noted,
the weeks counted below are a little less than the total weeks per year.

Visits in Last Four Months of 2008
|
We added a MapLoco counter to the bottom of our home page on August 26, 2008. (We had first seen this interesting device several months earlier on Craig Coussins' site.) Just out of curiosity, we kept track of where the approximately 2500 visitors to our home page came from each day between Sept. 1 and Dec. 31, 2008. During those four months, we were seen by at least one person from each of the following countries and territories. In this extremely distilled-down listing, the number after a location's name indicates how many months during that 4-month period that location was represented. No number means just one month. Italized country names are not represented in the box below. Argentina; Armenia; Aruba; Australia (4); Austria (3); Belgium (4); Bolivia; Brazil (4); Bulgaria; Canada (4); Chile (2); China (4); Columbia; Costa Rica; Croatia (3); Cuba (4); Cyprus; Czech Republic (4); Denmark (3); Ecuador; Egypt; Estonia (4); Finland; France (4); Germany (4); Greece (3); Hong Kong; Hungary (3); India (4); Indonesia (4); Iran, Islamic Republic of; Ireland (4); Israel; Italy (4); Japan (4); Korea, Republic of (4); Lao People's Democratic Republic; Lithuania (2); Malaysia (3); Malta; Mexico (4); Nepal; Netherlands, The (4); New Zealand (3); Norway (3); Pakistan ; Peru (2); Philippines (4); Poland (4); Portugal (2); Puerto Rico (4); Qatar; Romania (3); Russian Federation (4); Serbia and Montenegro (2); Singapore (2); Slovakia (2); Slovenia (2); South Africa (2); Spain (3); Sri Lanka; Sweden (2); Switzerland (2); Taiwan (3); Thailand (3); Trinidad and Tobago (2); Turkey (3); United Kingdom (4); Ukraine; United States (4); Venezuela (2); and Vietnam (4). We were most pleasantly surprised, but we do not know if or when we will do such involved tracking again... |
Visits in Roughly Last Three Months of 2009 + First Month of 2010
|
We added a FlagCounter to the bottom of our home page on Sept. 21, 2009. So, just out of curiosity, again, we kept track of where the approximately 1870 visitors to our home page came from each day between Sept. 21, 2009 and Jan. 21, 2010. During those four months, we were seen by the following number of persons from each of the following countries and territories. Italized country names are not represented in the box above. (We are aware, of course, that there is no direct comparison between this box and the one above, but it is an interesting comparison of apples to oranges.) (Once a page is created on this dynamic web site, it doesn't just sit there.
It has a fairly good probability of being updated, improved, and made more detailed.
Occasional discovery and correction of typos or a single addition of a hyperlink are not counted as "Changed" or labeled as "Added To.")
NOTE: During 2010 we split up a number of long pages,
we made at least minor changes to most pages due to our renovation of the
home page and website,
and we simplified our site map page(s) by indicating multiple pages rather than listing every last page.
Because of these changes, it is not so easy to keep track of when significant changes have been made to a given page.
Therefore,
we will NO LONGER list the percentage of pages changed each year.
