Said to bud back on old wood better than pines do; don't make candles like pines do; as the tree grows and ramifies the needles will get shorter; do not pull all the needles off a branch -- that will kill it; pinch the new tips in the springtime to compact the growth; feed every three weeks in the summer with a liquid fertiliser to encourage growth. |
