It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of
Edward "Bud" Jacobson
on March 4, 2005. He was a longtime business lawyer in Phoenix
and had been one of the founding members of the Phoenix Bonsai Society
in 1962. On behalf of the Phoenix Bonsai Society, Pres. Michael
Apostolos took possession of Bud Jacobson's Bonsai Collection (5 trees)
and his tool kit. Papers were signed with his lawyer turning over
the collection to the PBS on March 25. Some of the Bonsai will
eventually be put in the permanent collection at Ro Ho En at the
Japanese Garden in downtown Phoenix when it gets completed.
