To get to the site - stay on Highway 60 when you get into Globe (just stay on the main road and follow it through town) and go the traffic light intersection of Highway 60 and Highway 70 - do not turn left to follow Highway 60 - proceed straight on the road - you will now be on Highway 70; proceed east until the 4 lane road chokes down to 2 lanes; right after this, you will come upon a dirt road to the right called Montecito; turn to the left onto the paved apron and cross the newly installed cattle guard in the concrete box (you will see a project sign for the Arizona School Facilities Board - white, with the State Flag on it); you will then be facing a very wide dirt road that goes up the hill; take this dirt road up the hill and around - about a mile. The site will be at the end of the road, to the left. Park, unload and dig! Do not take any plants immediately adjacent to the road. The nice looking, very large rocks in the drainage areas to the side of the road are OFF LIMITS - please do not load up these rocks. Bring water to drink - lots of it; tools; gloves; containers; water for plants; water to drink; bug spray; water to drink; long sleeves and long pants aren't a bad idea; hats; water to drink; energy and be sure to bring plenty of water to drink.
